After figuring out my embroidery machine and Ella's birthday shirt turning out not half bad, I was motivated to make Easter shirts for the kids. Jack's was a bunny in a carrot airplane. Cute right? Well the fabric puckered a bit and the entire thing was a little smaller than I wanted, but again, not half bad.
Jack's facial expression is like, "Do I really have to wear this?" "Yes! And wear it, you shall!"Well, then came poor Ella's shirt. I had the bright idea to "fix" a mistake I made and ended up breaking the needle which went haywire, sewed across the pattern and flew off across the room. Sorry Ella girl, maybe next year.
Putting together little people princess tower that Ella got for her birthday. She likes playing with power tools.
The next few pictures are at the fire museum. We found this little gem one rainy afternoon in North Charlston. It has a small slide and fireman ladder with fireman pole. There are lots of fire simulations with smoke and the museum even has a fire truck that you can drive, fully equipped with light and siren. It was so much fun!
Ella decided she was climbing the ladder too!
Jack didn't fall down...just feel like that should be known.
A great day!
Jack made a sticker at the fire museum. It ended up on his head. Funny dude.
The morning of the bridge run, Ella and Jack and I stayed home. We sent daddy this txt message wishing him luck. Thumbs up!
Sometimes playtime gets pretty serious. "Gettyup horse!!"
Cutie.
More cutie.
I still rock ella to sleep anytime she'll let me. Sometimes she'll let me rock her, but she likes to be put down to fall asleep. She's the best sleeper. Thank goodness! After her brother, we couldn't handle another like that. Jack wakes up every night between 2-4 and Justin goes to get him and brings him in our bed. We are creating, feeding, and grooming our sleep monster well.
Not sure if these videos work. I thought they were pictures but turns out they're not.
With Easter just around the corner, we have a few packages arriving in the mail. This one is from Granna! How cool are these glasses?
And Easter PJs from the talented Aunt Shannon! Thank goodness someone around here can embroider well!
Then we took a trip to Mimi and Pops House for Easter weekend...more pictures of Easter to come!
I was a bad mommy and let Jack ride, very slowly, with Pops on the four wheeler. Thank goodness God saw fit to keep him safe and his silly mommy out of trouble with child protective services. He had the time of his life! Thumbs up!
And he found a caterpillar!
And Mimi got him silly string :)
He cooked almost every meal with Mimi too. She "Need lil bita help!" he'd say.
We also got Easter cards from Sherry and Whit. Thanks for the Elmo stickers! :)
Also, very exciting news!! Justin was excepted into the ME graduate program at Clemson! My man is going back to college! I'm so proud. Is it just me, or is he looking extra stud-ly? I'm having flashbacks to college, LOL!
More Easter pics to come soon! Happy Spring everyone! XOXO
