4 months old, Aunt Katie, & Instagram

Prepare yourself for a long post! If you're going strictly by the calendar, baby boy Jack is 4 months old today, technically 17 weeks. While I feel like has flown by, I almost can't remember life before him. Literally, the greatest four months of my entire life!

We love having visitors. The Friday after Tara was down, we got to see Aunt Katie! We had a lot of fun! Jack was very happy to visit with pretty Aunt Kate.

We drove around town looking at homes for sale...possibly one of mine and Katie's all time favorite ways to pass the time. We're total creepers, looking into windows, etc. Jack endulged us and was a very good boy in his car seat. We also went to a consignment sale and Starbucks.

On a side note, for lunch we did Amen Street Raw Bar. We split gulf coast oysters...yum! I've never had them from the gulf but they were so much better than local oysters.

This week is Easter and we're headed to Aiken. We'd planned on staying home but it also happens to be the weekend of my brother's 21st birthday. And celebrate, we must! Very much so looking forward to it. We're thinking about starting at Mellow Mushroom, maybe hitting up the hookah bar, and ending with cosmic bowling. Dad is going to join us for the first leg of the trip. I think he's looking forward to buying his son a beer. Although, last time dad joined us for a drink, we were in college and by the end of the night, Dad and Justin were falling-off-the-bar-stool-drunk. Poor mom had a time trying to get that big ol' man to bed :) I told her I was glad to have the smaller of the two ;)

This weekend, the ladies from my church are having a meet and greet for Jack. That should be fun!

In other news, daycare is going much better this week than last. Or I should say today when better than all the other days. Perhaps because I wasn't able to visit him on my lunch break, but the ladies said that he was smiling and talking to them today. That made me feel better. They seemed pleasantly surprised that he was such a chatty baby. I've been telling them that the entire time and I think they almost didn't believe me but I'm glad everyone is getting to know one another. The last few afternoons that I've picked Jack up, he's been in someones arms...which I love!

I think this weekend we are going to start oatmeal! This big boy just needs a little more sustenance. :) Pictures to come!

Katie got me hooked to Instagram again. I have been a member for a very long time but didn't do much on it because I didn't know anyone else who used it so I never had anyone to follow. Since Katie joined, I've been finding other people to "follow" and it's so much fun! Being able to add fun effects to pictures and post comments is great. It's almost like sending out mass picture txt. Plus it doesn't take up too much room on my phone and I have an endless supply of room for pictures. I am constantly being told my phone is out of room for pictures. I hope more people join so we can keep in touch. Plus, I like being able to keep pictures private, unlike facebook, where I have so many "friends" (half of whom I don't even know) that it would be impossible to narrow down who can see my pics and who can't. Anyway, I post at least five to ten pics a day of Jack so if you join, let me know your profile handle! Here are a few Instagram pics...

Hope everyone is doing well and sorry it took me so long to post! Below area  few random pictures.

Baby boy sleeping at dinner the other night. Below...mommy went shopping! So funny, I leave the outlets with $175 in clothes for Jack, $18 in underwear for Justin, and nothing for myself. Such a mom thing to do!! :)

These were taken the day we canned the nanny. The captions should read....

"What, you fired Corvetta?"

"You FIRED Corvetta?!?!"

"HAHA! YOU FIRED CORVETTA!"

Honestly, as much as I cringe at the idea of him getting ignored or getting ill in daycare, he is a much happier baby there. He has slept through the night every night that he's gone to daycare. I think he's getting the stimulation he needs and aside from one or two bumpy days, the last two weeks have been good.

Best part of my day is getting him home from daycare and letting him take a catnap in my arms! I just love this boy!

We got him the baby einstein activity chair and he really seems to love it. His feet don't quite touch the ground yet so we have to give him a blanket under his feet but he has great trunk and head control and loves to play with all the little toys attached.

Hard to see but in the pic below he has sweet little bubbles running down his chin. He just can't contain all the sweet sugars! :)

If you made it all the way through, congratulations! Have a great Easter weekend everyone!
