One word to sum us up right now is busy! Everyone. Work. Kids. House. Busy! So many updates so little time to blog. We had the house painted last weekend. Love the colors. Went shopping yesterday for furniture. Found two great chairs for the living room, a dining room set (haven't bought yet), and wall art. Also have baskets, curtains, and curtain hardware being shipped. It is so much fun seeing the house come together and so great to finally make settling in a priority.
Kids are so precious and growing so fast! Ella has been sleeping through the night in her crib for a week now (starting 7/31/13), she is rolling over. Been rolling back to front for about two weeks now, but just last Tuesday, started front to back (8/5/14). She talks constantly, still hates her car seat, and brings objects to her mouth. Her favorite toys are the Sophie the Giraffe, but not the giraffe, the elephant. She chews on it constantly. She insists on being held and is rubbing a little bald spot in the back of her head from constantly looking all around. Even when we are holding her, constantly looking. She doesn't miss a beat. She sat in a high chair for the first time last Friday (8/1/14) at Bail. And on Friday (8/8/14) I gave her a taste of sweet potatoes. She seemed to like them.
Jack learns, does, or says something new everyday. He and Justin are really getting close. Justin tells him all the time how much he loves him and misses him and how Jack is the best thing to ever happen to him...uh, what about me and Ella?!? Chopped liver at the moment. Anywho, train is the answer to every question asked right now. What do you want to do? He signs train (by pumping his fist in the air), what do you want to eat? Train. His favorite toy is by far, his trains. I'm planning him a train party for his second birthday and am even trying to get a trackless train to come. Jack loves cheese, pizza, and anything sweet. He started drinking milk thankfully! Mostly with sweets or in cereal. And he loves his aunt Katie. He won't leave her alone. No one else exists when she does. She's soaking it up since she is going back to school this week.
Here's Jack riding the firetruck at the mall. We go to the mall more that I care to admit. He LOVES it!
Found Katie and Jack sitting in the kitchen sharing milk and cookies.
More time on the train at the mall...
More with Aunt Katie. Mima had sent Jack a bunch of match box cars. He loves cars too. Especially the ones that fit on his train track.
Babies napping...
Eating at cupcake after Basil...
Being silly with mom.
More in the high chair. I love getting pictures of all the firsts! Isn't she beautiful. I swear I could look at this face all day!
Playdate at the aquarium and Children's Museum with Cooper. Miss Kim takes them everywhere!
