Filling in the gaps...We moved to Viera Florida in June, I was six month pregnant. Jack started kindergarten and two weeks in they hired a new teacher so Jack had to move classes. We were nervous at first but it was a total blessing. Mrs. Moss is such a gift. We've since joined their small group and I'm a room mom. Jack's friends include Callie, Luke, and Reagan. Ella enjoys preschool but only for the social aspect. Her bestie is Ellie and yesterday she made me color freckles on her nose, "just like Ellie." Her baby doll's name is Ellie now too. It's ALL. ABOUT. ELLIE.
We're renting a house in Viera. Before we moved, we promised the kids two things: Disney annual passes and a golf cart. As soon as we got here, we got annual Disney gold passes. We go all the time and the kids love it. We haven't been since Vivi was born but we did go to Disney springs last week to see Santa. Santa was on a 6 hour wait so we didn't see him but still had a great time! Hopefully, I can get picture to post soon. And we got the golf cart that Jack named Lucky ("because we are lucky to have it.") on Halloween. Granna was down and helped tremendously when it came to picking it out. So much goes into to comparison shopping for big buys like that and Granna drove a hard bargain. Later she and the kids decorated it with spider webs and we took it out to trick or treat.
The pictures are from Vivian's newborn session. She was 12 days old. It took over four hours to do the shoot. She wasn't wanting to sleep but the photographer managed to get these gorgeous shots. I've enlarged several for the grandparents Christmas presents this year.
I hope to get several for your nursery when the time comes to set one up for you. You're almost there. You sleep long stretches through the night and often times when you squirm and grunt, I can tell I am interrupting your sleep more than I'm helping when I try to pat you or give you a paci. But I do love our night time snuggles!
We didn't know you're gender when you were born. I was convinced you were a boy and so was just about everyone else except Ella. Days before you were born, she brought me a picture she had drawn of "her and her sister." Poor girl, I thought, it'll never happen. Boy was I wrong. I even only washed all the boy clothes that I had saved of Jack's. When you were born, I couldn't believe my eyes. I saw you were a girl and it was honestly the greatest surprise of my life! I would have been overjoyed with either gender but, secretly, I wanted Ella to have a little sister. You were perfectly made and planned for our family Vivi girl.
When it came to naming you, I was clueless. I was prepared for boy names, Henry Cleveland or Henry James. For a girl, we thought Lyla Grace or Vivienne Kate. The moment I saw you, I thought, Lyla Grace should be her name! It wasn't until Jack and Ella came to visit you that I started to second guess it. Daddy asked Jack what we should name you and he didn't hesitate, "Vibien," he said. I've loved the name Vivienne for a long time. Even when naming Ella, I considered it. But when it came to how to spell it, I was stuck. Daddy would say your name with a French accent and when I tried to write it in cursive, it just seemed like too many letters, like it was trying to hard. So naturally, I text everyone I cared to ask to help me decide. Tara pointed out that Vivian Kate Archie was symmetric and all the As looked consistent. Katie thought Vivian was classic. I was sold, and the lady responsible for processing your social security card was grateful, she had only come to our room five times trying to get a name from us. I absolutely love your name. In fact, I love everything about you.
Im holding you on the couch now, wrapping up this blog entry that has taken weeks to complete. You are such a precious baby. Pushing three months now and I would relive every moment of everyday with you. It has all been glorious. You are the sweetest gift from heaven. I love you my precious girl, my little ginger snap.
