Nana's Christmas Cookie Bake-a-thon 2012

We ventured out of the house a few times this week and Jack did extremely well. So we decided he was ready to hit the road for Aiken. We drove to Nana's over the weekend for our annual Christmas Cookie Bake-a-thon. It was our first family outing :)

Sadie and Kramer LOVED the back of the explorer! So much more room and they could look in all directions. Sadie really loved it! I couldn't imagine trying to get all that baby stuff, the baby, the dogs, and our overnight bags in the Maxima. I mean, it just wouldn't have happened. And look, the back seat is still full of baby essentials! I LOVE the room in our new car!

Justin put up the baby mirror so we could keep our eye on Jack. Such a sweetie!

We had to stop once in Orangeburg to feed Jack and walk the dogs. Jack did so great in the car! I couldn't believe it! He slept the entire time. Such a good baby. The we dropped off the dogs in Aiken and headed to Nana's. Total probably 4 hours in the car.

She couldn't wait to get her hands on him. She was the first one to hold him and snuggled while he was waking up. Her apron has "Nana's gifts" on it with all the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Mom had Jack and Mason added this year so her apron would be complete for the cookie bake-a-thon. :)

Our future babysitter Sadie :) She loved Jack!

Picture with Papaw. Later Papaw pulled out pictures of his dad to show us who Jack was named after on our side of the family. It was very sweet!

Of course MiMa had to get her snuggle time in to :)

And Aunt Jeni...

We got there rather late so all the cookies were made. Perfect timing :) I got to help Hunter decorate a few cookies though. He is such a cutie!

Aunt Katie, Jack, and Dixie.

Naked baby! We gave him a bath and let his diaper rash air out when we got home. Just a little redness in his diaper area but you know I am 100% on top of it! He is just so sweet and cuddly! I don't want him to be in an ounce of discomfort!! That's all for now :)

Newborn pictures

Jack's newborn pictures arrived in the mail. They are beyond precious!

Look at these feet! I could just eat them up.

Love this sweet face...

He looks so sweet in these next few. I didn't realize we'd be in the pictures too or I would have made myself more presentable. I look so pale! Maybe b/c Jack had a little jaundice ;) Nope, just pale.

He is wearing his little smocked train Kissy Kissy going home outfit and is wrapped in the blanket my grandmother bought him before she passed. Very special.

He looks so teeny!

Expect those feet. They're so big!

My sweet little prince! I just love him!

Love, love, love this boy!

Not much to say in this post. Just wanted to post precious baby pictures of our fast-growing boy!

Going on a walk...

Such a cute outfit from gymborie. I was so excited to get him in it. He immediately peed all over it ;)

More smiles! Melts my heart!

Sweet and snuggly...

Reindeer outfit. Santa's little helper...

Having to do some finger feeding since we're having nursing issues. I hate doing it but he's a trooper and doesn't seem to mind. He's holding my finger as if to encourage me. We'll get this mom!

My precious baby!

I can't get enough of that little face! Daddy looks so tired in this picture. He has been working very late and doesn't sleep well. He's going on four hours of sleep and a Tylenol pm. Poor Justin! We put him on the air mattress last night so he wouldn't get woken up. He's a light sleeper and baby grunts keep him up ;)

Morning kisses from daddy...

He's pondering very important baby things while sleeping...

Love those baby stretches. We were napping on the couch yesterday and I woke up to a soft baby fist rubbing my nose. It was precious! I love this sweet fella SO much!

Visit From Aunt Kate

Started this entry last week but just getting around to actually writing it :) Aunt Katie came to visit us last week! We went on Jack's second outing (to Walmart) for some much needed baby supplies. We used Jojo's gift card to get a diaper genie (that we later had to return b/c it was missing a piece), pants, toys, nursing supplies, and other baby supplies.

The visit was just what we and Aunt Katie needed! She is in the middle of her finals week. Good luck Aunt Katie! And what's a blog entry without a ton of sweet baby pictures!

Love those sweet gassy smiles! Almost missed this one.

Talking to daddy. This next one is a smile. I see a little bit of mama's lazy eye ;)

 My sweet angel!

Nap time in the Archie house on Saturday.

 More smiles!

He's getting so long and heavy! :) That's my boy. Two weeks old yesterday, where has the last two weeks gone?!? I need to get on the insurance, birth certificate, and child care. That is my mission for today! Well that and cuddling this sweet baby!
