We ventured out of the house a few times this week and Jack did extremely well. So we decided he was ready to hit the road for Aiken. We drove to Nana's over the weekend for our annual Christmas Cookie Bake-a-thon. It was our first family outing :)
Sadie and Kramer LOVED the back of the explorer! So much more room and they could look in all directions. Sadie really loved it! I couldn't imagine trying to get all that baby stuff, the baby, the dogs, and our overnight bags in the Maxima. I mean, it just wouldn't have happened. And look, the back seat is still full of baby essentials! I LOVE the room in our new car!
Justin put up the baby mirror so we could keep our eye on Jack. Such a sweetie!
We had to stop once in Orangeburg to feed Jack and walk the dogs. Jack did so great in the car! I couldn't believe it! He slept the entire time. Such a good baby. The we dropped off the dogs in Aiken and headed to Nana's. Total probably 4 hours in the car.
She couldn't wait to get her hands on him. She was the first one to hold him and snuggled while he was waking up. Her apron has "Nana's gifts" on it with all the grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Mom had Jack and Mason added this year so her apron would be complete for the cookie bake-a-thon. :)
Our future babysitter Sadie :) She loved Jack!
Picture with Papaw. Later Papaw pulled out pictures of his dad to show us who Jack was named after on our side of the family. It was very sweet!
Of course MiMa had to get her snuggle time in to :)
And Aunt Jeni...
We got there rather late so all the cookies were made. Perfect timing :) I got to help Hunter decorate a few cookies though. He is such a cutie!
Aunt Katie, Jack, and Dixie.
Naked baby! We gave him a bath and let his diaper rash air out when we got home. Just a little redness in his diaper area but you know I am 100% on top of it! He is just so sweet and cuddly! I don't want him to be in an ounce of discomfort!! That's all for now :)
